StudyNova Exists for Students Who Can Achieve More

I’m Safiyah Rani
A Medical Student, Tutor, and Founder of StudyNova.
I started tutoring at 16, working 1-to-1 and in group sessions of up to 30 students after school. As my demand grew, so did my own academic study requirements, so I could no longer help everyone that needed it.
Along this journey, I also met a lot of people who seeked academic support for their children, but could not afford tuition prices.
That never sat right with me.
What Changed Everything
In my 6 years of tutoring, I have been approached to tutor and help many students who were intially described to me as ‘uninterested’ or ‘trouble’ or that they ‘just really struggle,’ with the hope that perhaps these students would learn from someone they deemed as more ‘relatable.’
My own academic journey consisted of me being disengaged in early years of school, and the right inspiration completely changed my path, allowing me an insight into both perspectives.
Later, I worked in a few schools, and saw how much pressure on teachers there is, as well as the lack of resources and support for students who truly need it.
Through these experiences, I saw countless individuals with real academic potential being dismissed due to their behaviour, learning habits, current academic achievement, or simply lack of time and resources.
No child is doomed to struggle in school. No child isn’t worth the dedicated time and energy. All it took was someone to understand these students, and everything about their academic journey changed.
When asked how I help transform students grades, whether it be from that grade 6 to a 9, or someone who initially wanted nothing more than to not even go to class, it’s because students don’t always need more ‘discipline’ or ‘pressure.’
They just need consistency, belief, and a way of learning that makes sense.
Why I Created StudyNova
StudyNova is my answer to that experience.
It’s an online GCSE tutoring platform built for students to support their learning and growth – no matter their background or current situation.
